Hopefully the legend Jackie Chan isn’t playing games with us and that if true, Chris Tucker is onboard. Rush Hour and it’s sequels were some of the funniest movies I remember in the 90’s and it would be amazing to see the duo on screen again.
Jackie Chan revealed in a radio interview that the next installment of Rush Hour is moving right along.
Chan starred alongside Chris Tucker in the cop action comedy in 1998 with the duo releasing sequels in 2001 and 2007. Ten years have passed and Chan says the fourth installment’s script has been written.
“For the last seven years, we’ve been turning down the script, turning down the script,” Jackie Chan told Power 106’s The Cruz Show and added, “yesterday, we just agreed.”
He went on to say: “At the end of this month, we will have a second draft and next year, probably start. If Chris Tucker agrees.”
The Rush Hour franchise combined global box office gross is $850.6M.
We know Jackie may still be able to do his own stunts, but Chris… we’ll have to see.
TELL US: At what point should we give up on a sequel for Rush Hour?
