Look, if you’re not reading The Walking Dead Comics or novels, you need to stop what you’re doing and get to it STAT. The world created by Robert Kirkman and crew is so gloriously over the top, that most of the time, I feel like I need oxygen in between immersions. The Walking Dead on AMC is great, but The Walking Dead in print is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! In issue 112 of the comic, no if, and, or buts, Rick is finally so knee-deep in it that the reader is left to wonder for the first time in the comic’s history if Rick will actually survive the next issue. Rick Grimes has been through a lot and some situations were more sticky than others, but each time, you always knew that Rick would pull it off. Now after issue 112, I for one am not too sure. In fact, I’m wondering if Robert Kirkman has been reading too many George R. R. Martin novels and is about to pull off his own version of Ned Stark gets it when least expected. I don’t want to give it away, but I’m certain if you read this issue you too will believe that Rick’s watch may have finally ended.
